Briefly share how you became a freelancer.
What has been your biggest win as a freelancer?
Our biggest win has been seeing our clients wearing our designs. There is nothing more rewarding than doing what we love and making people happy with what we create.
What are some of the hurdles you’ve overcome as a freelancer in Houston? Do you think these hurdles are indicative to Houston or to the freelancer profession overall?
One of the biggest hurdles we have overcome is learning to do everything by ourselves. Design the logo and packaging, print our tags, and take all the pictures for our social media accounts. To be honest, it has been a learning journey. Every challenge comes with something new to learn! Regardless of where you reside, these are things that some of us as business owners have to go through at one point.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out as a freelancer?
Believe in your own potential and do things with love, because that would be reflected in your product/service. If you have a vision about your business, keep it! Don’t let people dictate how your business should be like.
Let’s say I’m a client that’s looking to hire a freelancer that does what you do. Why should I hire you?
We are very passionate about each piece we design, and we constantly learn from our trials and errors. We take our time and pay close attention to every single detail of our pieces. All the knitting and wirework that you see in every pair of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces are all handmade. We hand-picked all the pearls and beads because we always want to give our customers the best quality materials.
